Disease Focused Programs

Cancer care is highly technical and requires specialized training, technology, and infrastructure.  It is our belief that the more physicians focus on a particular disease, the better the care and outcomes.  For this reason, we have organized Gibbs cancer physicians into 10 disease-focused teams that meet weekly to discuss each new patient.  Thus, the patient receives what we call multidisciplinary care where teams of providers (surgical oncologist, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and many other disciplines) discuss your individual case and develop a personalized treatment plan specific to you.  We seek to give every patient the opportunity for the best possible cancer care and support services without leaving home.  Cancer care is truly comprehensive at Gibbs.  This is precision medicine.
