On-campus resources

Each Gibbs location hosts survivorship programs and support groups, and the Gibbs campus in Spartanburg offers a range of facilities and services in a convenient, easily accessible location.

Cancer Learning Center: Find all the latest resources on cancer and its treatment in this user-friendly library and media center.

Cancer Transitions™ classes: This series of six classes is held weekly at intervals throughout the year and features expert speakers and specialty programs to motivate and support survivors who have recently completed treatment. The series addresses education, exercise, nutrition, medical management, psychosocial and quality of life.

Center for Health and Healing: Learn how to combine conventional treatments with complementary techniques and therapies to reduce stress and anxiety as you promote whole-person healing. Balancing your mind, body and spirit can improve your health.

Clinical Research Trials, Prevention Studies and Tumor Registry Services: Patients at Gibbs have access to next-generation clinical expertise and treatments.

Energy for Life: This gentle oncology rehabilitation program is open to patients, survivors and caregivers and offers movement and artistic classes as well as support groups and occupational, speech, physical and creative therapies.

Genetic Counseling: Because certain cancers are more likely to be inherited or “run in families,” Gibbs offers counseling to help evaluate your risk of genetic disorders.

Gibbs Cancer Center Survivorship Program: It’s not unusual for survivors to experience mixed emotions after treatment, and many report feeling “different” as a survivor. Gibbs’ Survivorship Program is designed to help ease the anxiety that is common during this transitional time by encouraging you to make healthy choices and make a successful comeback.

Gibbs Infusion Center: Treatments at Gibbs Cancer Center are available in a comfortable, easily accessible setting and scheduled at your convenience.

Regional Massage: Whether you are a patient, caregiver or community member, the benefits of massage therapy make a difference.

Support Groups: Meet and gain comfort and confidence from others whose lives have been affected by cancer.

Supportive Services: Gibbs offers a range of support services such as social services, chaplain visits, dietary and nutrition counseling, palliative care, and other customized care.

That Special Look™ boutique: To look and feel your best during and after treatment, choose wigs, specialty clothing, and other accessories to make life more comfortable - located in Gibbs Cancer Center.

We welcome the community to share our resources.

At Gibbs, we open our doors and share our expertise freely with the people of the Upstate. After all, Gibbs was built by our community, for our community. Here are some of the ways you can take advantage of Gibbs’ facilities and expertise:

Book an inspirational and informative speaker for your organization.

Gibbs Cancer Center now offers a speaker’s bureau, with qualified speakers who can present programs tailored to your group’s specific interests. From medical and clinical professionals to survivors sharing their own personal stories, each speaker is dedicated to providing the latest information about Gibbs’ mission and accomplishments. To arrange a speaker for your meeting, please call 864-560-1983 or email dsdawkins@srhs.com.

Set up free screenings at your club, church or business.
